Description

ALUMI-SEAL RTV silicone gasket-maker is a single component, RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) silicone rubber. When applied as a formed-in-place gasket, it reacts with moisture in the air and cures to a rubber like product. It will adhere to clean metal, glass, most types of wood, plastic, rubber, and ceramic surfaces. Because it does not flow due to its own weight, this sealant can be applied overhead or on sidewall joints without sagging or running off. This product is corrosive to most metals and is not recommended for electrical connections. Should not be used on head gaskets.

Directions

Clean and dry surface. Remove oil, grease, dirt and dust from surface. Hold nozzle at 45° angle and apply a continuous bead of 1/16” to 1/8” in any direction. Sealant normally “skins over” in 5 minutes and dries tack free to the touch in one hour. If spreading or working material is required, do  immediately after applying. Paper towels can be used to remove excess. Sealant cures and bonds fully in 24 hours and maximum strength is achieved in 7 days. Sealant is easily trimmed with a sharp tool. Do not destroy bond by undercutting.

Product Guarantee: We guarantee all we sell to the complete satisfaction of our customer.  In the event a product we sell fails to meet our customer’s requirements, we offer a simple return procedure that is effective up to 30 days after the date of purchase.  For full credit on the unused portion, request a Return Authorization Number from our customer service department.  No returns will be accepted without an RA number. 

We cannot issue credit on any goods purchased more than 90 days previously.  All returns for reasons other than performance quality must be in original packaging and are subject to a 15% restocking charge plus freight charges. 

Any claims resulting from damages during shipment must be made no later than 48 hours after the shipment is received.
